Arizona State Lottery, by Law insists that no one under the age of 21 play their lottery games.
THE LOTTERY COMMISSION AND LOTTERY REGULATIONS
The Arizona State Lottery Commission, is made up of five commissioners appointed by the Governor for a Term of five years. There may be no more than three commissioners out of the five that belong to the same Political Party. All of the five will have no less than five years experience, and at least one member that is trained in Law Enforcement, a Certified Public Accountant, a member who has five years experience at Marketing or Advertising, or both, and one member with no less than five years experience in Convenience Store Retail. A chairman will be appointed by the five commissioners annually, the commissioners operate The Arizona State Lottery with the powers to license agents, distribute lottery revenues, and set conducts and penalties for running the State Lottery. Statutes administrating the Arizona State Lottery are contained in Title 5 of The Arizona Revised Statutes, Sections 5-501 thru 5-525. Rules of operation governing The Arizona State Lottery are made available in Title 19 of The Arizona Administrative Code.
DISTRIBUTION OF LOTTERY FUNDS
Four areas of Government Finances are distributed lottery proceeds, Economic and Business Development, Education, Environmental Programs, and Health and Public Welfare. Economic and Business Development, is given 21.5% of the proceeds from two designated Lottery Scratch Tickets. The Education General Fund is given 55.5% of the total fund for the entire lottery revenue distribution. Environmental Programs, receives 0.4% of the Lottery's General Fund that may sound like a small amount but annually it equals up to $10 million dollars. Health and Public Welfare will receive 44.1% of the total lottery fund or a maximum of $31 million dollars annually and a possible $15 million additional more monies.

Mega Millions Number Drawings are held on Tucson's CBS KOLD News 13 at 10:25 PM on Tuesday and Friday nights.
