When the time comes for a rescue to happen, don’t worry. The Wave Patrol guys have it all under control. Fortunately, there are some extra tools that they can use while carrying out the task. For example, they’ll need to throw a floating ring for the endangered person to clutch on to. This icon works as the game’s wild symbol. As such, it will stand in for all other symbols on the reels in order to form a winning combination. The only exception to this rule is the game’s scatter offering.
And speaking of the scatter icon, this is present in the form of the vicious shark. Scatter icons are able to reward you with a pay out wherever they show up on the reels. It takes five of them coming into view in any location to provide a maximum reward of $2,000! Furthermore, three or more of them appearing will also trigger the game’s freespins round. Three scatter icons provide five freespins. Four of them offer up eight freespins and five of them reward you with a maximum of 15 freespins. This round also contains the game’s Lucky Buoy Feature too. This sees a new wild icon appear in a random place of the reels on every single freespin. It is held in the same position until the end of the round. Up to 12 wilds can be held on the reels at one time! And if you spin a scatter icon into view, it will add an extra freespin on top of the ones you currently have.
Finally, the game also contains its very own gamble round. This becomes active after any winning combination that you form, which doesn’t contain a wild icon. If you decide that you want to play the gamble round, you will see a new screen come into view. This will contain a pinball machine on it. Pressing the ‘Gamble’ button will release a ball into the machine and fire it around the interface. If it hits either the ‘X3’ or ‘X5’ obstacles three or five times, respectively, the multiplier will increase. Then, the ball needs to fall into one of the slots with this multiplier marked on it at the bottom. If it does, your winnings from the triggering round increase by this amount. If the ball lands in a ‘Lose’ slot though, these winnings are completely lost.
