As you will be sure to notice from the start, the layout is fairly common in X Factor Jackpot. It features the standard grid of 5 reels and 3 rows in total. There are 20 paylines here, but they are fixed. This means you won’t have the opportunity to regulate their number. However, wager amounts are fairly moderate, so you won’t really need to. The available coin denominations can range from 20c per spin up to the limit of $100 per single spin. As for the symbols here, we already pointed out that for the most part they include different typical slot game icons. These are the lower value playing card symbols: A, K, Q, J and 10. Following them, you will see a number of different male and female singers – contestants of the famous TV show. There’s even a symbol depicting three singers at a time, or more accurately – their silhouettes.

The X symbol on these reels is the game’s Wild symbol. As such, it will be able to replace any of the other symbols present here to help you create winning combinations. Of course, there are several exceptions as to the symbols that the Wild can substitute for. Such are the Scatter and Bonus symbols. Furthermore, the Wild can also appear in any position on the reels. So you will have a better chance of landing winning combos.

A number of special symbols and their special features

Among the symbols that the Wild cannot replace is the CD Freespins icon. Watch out carefully for this one, as it can only appear on reels 2, 4 and 5. And in order to benefit from it, you will need to land all three of these symbols during the same spin. Once you do, each of those symbols will reveal a certain number of freespins. Those numbers will then add up for the grand total of freespins that you will receive. The maximum amount you can count on is 20. Furthermore, during the freespins round the X Factor logo will come flying across the screen and will add a Sticky Wild to the reels, which will remain there for the duration of the feature.

Another symbol to look out for is the X Factor Bonus icon. You will need to land three of these symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 simultaneously. As a result, you will trigger the Live Show Bonus feature. It’s a sort of cash trail that will see you go through 10 weeks with a certain contestant. If you can get the majority vote, you will move on to the next week for a higher multiplier. Week 10 holds the highest multiplier value of 50x. Notice also that at the end of each week you can also collect phone symbols. If you gather 4, 5 or 6 of these, you will win one of the three different progressive jackpots.

Then last but not least, we have the third and final special symbol – the Microphone icon. This symbol can only land on the middle reel, so keep a sharp eye out for it. Once it lands during a spin, it will trigger the Pick Me Bonus feature. Three symbols on the reels will transform to each become a specific X Factor star. You will need to select one of them in order to reveal your cash prize.
