This slot is a great example of slots manufacturer Novomatic sticking to what they do best. It is a simple video slot, which is very nicely produced, yet has no feature rounds or interesting game play. The theme this time is jewels and money. The symbols in this game are stacked, with multiple instances of the same gem lined up on each reel. This means it is possible to have a lot of the screen covered in the same symbol (and resulting wins on many lines at once). There is also an ‘adjacent wins’ system, which means breaking with slots tradition to say that not all wins have to start from the left hand reel.
I would rate this as the best graphics I have seen on a Novomatic slot – up there with ‘Big Catch’ at least. The gems are very detailed in their colouring and light-work, and the crown plus money symbols are very detailed too. The crazy bleeping tune which this slot maker often uses can be disabled in this game – which is a big relief. You’ll find the satisfying clunk of the reels stopping, and a happy brass band type tune when you hit wins. Other than the gamble / collect ticker, this slot is reasonably quiet.
Adjacent wins is easy enough to get used to on a 10 line slot. If you get a line of 3 or 4 matching symbols starting on reel 2 or 3, then this counts as a win. This is enhanced by the stacked symbols. For example you might get 3 or 4 lines worth of three crowns on the last 3 reels – giving you some good (though not great) wins. This is literally the only notable feature in this game, which feels like a bit of a shame for a nicely designed online casino slot.
