Hobo’s Hoard Slots
This is a unique theme as best I can work out – a hobo (or Tramp if you like) and the varying ways he makes money being the basis. It is also an older slot, at least judging by the graphics and the game-play. You’ll start by seeing an introduction video of the hobo walking along with a sad plucked guitar tune playing in the background (which continues while you spin). The hobo then spots a line of people and dollar signs appear in his eyes. This Rival Gaming slot has a free spins round, and a break out bonus game where you pick someone to panhandle from!
Graphically, you’ll immediately see that this is an older game. The layout is smart enough – it just does not compare well to the more modern games. At the top of the reels you will see the silhouette of a city skyline, with the yellow Hobo’s Hoard logo. One humorous touch is that line markers for the 15 win lines are coloured tin cans. The reels spin on a plain grey / light blue background and the symbols all include circles. In a characteristic which reminds me of the Grandma’s Attic slot, there are fruit symbols on the reels as well as those in keeping with the theme.
Symbols include the hobo, the group of people he is begging from, a stick with handkerchief, tin can with ‘spins’ written on it, shopping trolley and the hobo at home in his cardboard box. There is also a trash can wild which you’ll see eyes popping out from the top of when it makes up a winning combination. There are other animations too, though just basic ones like flashing squares.
